Conservapedia wishes everyone a Merry Christmas…
Conservapedia wishes everyone a Merry Christmas with a “self-made” image created by one of the admins on that site. Turns out that it’s plagiarized from another website selling Neon signs, and it’s not the first time they’ve copied content without attribution.
Two week ago, they changed it to fair use, with mention that they’ll delete it in a week. So far, it’s still there.

Experimental Gameplay - Welfare Survivor
This is my entry into September’s Experimental Gameplay Project. The focus for this month was Failure, and this entry has the player try to recover from a layoff while surviving on social assistance.
It can be downloaded here, and it requires both Python 2.6 and Pygame installed.
To survive, you will need to spend your monthly allowance (minus rent) among food, clothing and any other required utilities. In particular, you can’t survive much longer few days without food, and missing the other utilities may have a negative effect. The two most important keys are Space (to advance 1 day) and Tab (to advance 7 days), which is required if you attend training or need to get the end-of-month allowance.
The concept and interface was built around some old survival game for the Commodore 64. It seemed quite suitable for a remake, and as a reason to learn how to create a Pygame application.
